Nice fantasy title that, once again like his other fantasy book, weaves two worlds together and makes it so much fun. While the plot and adventure-action is not as tight and non-stop as "D Nine", it is still an extremely enjoyable read.I liked it.

When Kings friend, Adeline is put into a coma after playing a popular new virtual reality game, King must do whatever it takes to save her. Enlisting the help of a secretive captain, King embarks on a journey that may seem fake to most, but is certainly real to him. At stake is Adeline's life, which is being held hostage by the leader of the mysterious ship that has scared many an adventurer away form the world of Black Flag.
Interesting and fun, I would recommend The phantom of Misery Sea to people who enjoy short, adventure novels, and fantasy stories.
I liked this book from the beginning to the end. It was clear from the start that I was going to be taken on an adventure. What I didn't know was that the adventure would be in two different places at the same time; in the cyber world and the physical world. The book is a short read packed with adventure and plot twists. What I liked most about the book was the actual adventure. There was always the sense of urgency and that made the book all the more fun to read.
King, which is the main character's cyber name, is out to find the ship called the phantom. Supposedly the ship is going around sinking other ships and his friend Elize, another cyber character who is his friend in reality, was on a ship that was sunk by the phantom. Though this is just a game, King comes to realise that Elize is not only injured in the game but her physical person is in a coma. As he quests to figure out how to save her we go on an adventure that will have you wanting to play a game of such epic proportions. Though the book is about a game it is not unrealistic. It is easy to follow and the plot flows flawlessly. It is a must read.
